This is a one-to-one course of three sessions via Zoom.
In this class I will show you how to make a block I created for the Modern Times Quilt- the classic New York Beauty block but with a twist.
You will learn how the different blocks are designed and put together, the way the different parts can be shifted and moved to change the look of the block.
We will sew no-pin machine-pieced curves in three sizes whilst playing with my Drunkard’s Path Template*, a tool that makes precise blocks that are easy to piece together.
We will also cover all the stages of Foundation Paper Piecing using Freezer Paper- how to prep the paper, what stitch length to use, how best to put the block together and more.
The techniques learnt will give you knowledge and freedom to design your own version of the Modern Times Quilt.
The session is suitable for newbie quilters and extreme quilters alike.
After you’ve paid for your workshop I will email you to discuss what time and date will suit you for your first session.
*I will send you the templates as a pdf to print out in case you do not have my acrylic templates. but if, at any point, you decide you want to order the templates, booking this workshop gives you 10% discount on the Complete Drunkard’s Path Set used in this class as well as on the Complete Oval Drunkard’s Path Set and all quilt patterns in my shop.
