Hi all, it’s been a while and I’ve got lots to tell you. Take a break, grab a cuppa and find a sunny spot, and I’ll fill you in for all the workshop news and Not Just Curves BOM 2023.
Spring is here and I’m on my way to London to check out my new teaching venue. More info and pictures below but it looks so good. I’m excited to be back teaching in my old neck of the woods.
The Not Just Curves BOM -23 is in its second month and all your blocks are looking great! Keep sharing please (#NotJustCurvesBOM2023). If you’ve not yet joined us you can still do so here. There are nine months’ worth of blocks, techniques, colour inspiration and classes, all on our new Not Just Curves platform, so easy to access and all available until the end of the year.
A lot of you have been asking for my curvy blocks from the Not Just Curves BOM -22 to be released as standalone patterns. I will drop them all into my shop over the next few months with the first release this Saturday (tomorrow), April 29th at midday (BST). If you use the discount code #TwistBlock10 at checkout, you’ll get 10% off.

Last year’s BOM was a hoot. Find a recap here. This is one of the finished quilts. Isn’t she a stunner? It’s by @anna_macht:

I’m still folding quilts. The folding started with the #hexiborequilt, click link below to sign up to the next class, and moved to the border on the Above the Cairns Quilt (#abovethecairnsquilt), let me know if you want to be on the waiting list for the autumn date. I’ve got lots more to show you, autumn workshops will be released soon, but here is a taster, the Still Folding Quilts quilt (the abbreviation is a lot less rude than a previous quilt).

Workshops for this spring with spaces still left are:
• Twice-cut Drunkard’s Path (last chance, I’m not planning to run this again). Book your spot here.
• Hexibore #2 (no need to have done the first Hexibore class to join). Book here.
• This Way and That (the one we do not abbreviate!). Book here.
And I’ll wrap this up (whilst still leaving a few loose strands to keep you on your toes), with London!
I am teaching three dates this autumn – September 29th and 30th and October 1st – at a super cool new venue a short stroll from Hackney Wick station in East London. The classes will be small, max ten people, and will be packed with useful techniques for sewing curves, matching seams, pressing and lots more. I will hold ‘Get ready!’ sessions via zoom about a month before we meet so that you can plan your fabric and templates purchases, useful for those of you planning to travel to London from further afield.
The launch is imminent and I will email you the location, class information, codes for an Early Bird discount and a package deal for the three days a couple of days before I launch so you can check travel and accommodation. You will need to sort those last bits yourself.
